Interested in applying for a grant from IPI’s Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) programme? Join our info webinar!

IPI’s Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) fund will host a webinar on February 7, 2024 at 11:00 CET to answer questions about the support on offer from Europe’s largest funding programme for cross-border investigative journalism.

On February 1, IJ4EU opened two new calls for investigative journalism projects on transnational subjects in the public interest.

IJ4EU’s Investigation Support Scheme will provide grants of up to €50,000 to allow journalistic teams of any type — including newsrooms and specialist investigative outlets — to team up across frontiers on ambitious projects.

IJ4EU’s Freelancer Support Scheme will provide grants of up to €20,000 to cross-border investigative teams made up predominantly of freelance journalists.

The deadline for applications to both schemes is March 31 at 23:59 CET.

The online info session is organised by the IJ4EU consortium, which is led by IPI and exists to channel public and philanthropic money into world-class investigative journalism without fear of editorial interference.

Representatives of IPI and the European Journalism Centre will give a brief overview of the IJ4EU 2024/25 grants programme and answer questions about the Investigation Support Scheme and Freelancer Support Scheme, respectively.

Representatives of Arena for Journalism in Europe will provide details of free Cross-Border Masterclasses and other forms of support designed to foster collaboration and improve your chances of getting funding.

And the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom will summarise IJ4EU’s enhanced menu of legal support and networking opportunities, including the annual UNCOVERED Conference and IJ4EU Impact Awards.

The webinar will be held via Zoom.
