ZN.UA targeted in reported DDoS attack

On 9 August 2023, the Ukrainian online news portal ZN.UA was targeted in a DDoS attack, with the outlet claiming that Russian hackers were responsible for the incident. In a message posted on Telegram, ZN.UA said that the attack had lasted for several hours during the night, due to which readers were unable to acccess the website on the morning of August 9. The media outlet added that technical services were working to bring the site back online. According to the Ukrainian press freedom group Institute of Mass Information (IMI), ZN.UA was again accessible on the morning of August 10.
