On 14 March 2022, Russian aviation shelled the TV tower in Rivne in Western Ukraine. The tower complex was damaged in the attack, due to which TV and radio signal temporarily disappeared in the region. Two people sustained minor injuries in the attack, and were evacuated from under the rubble.

In October, Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne asked the European Court of Human Rights to investigate nine attacks on TV towers by Russian forces in Ukraine, as well as two cases of jamming radio and TV signal, and one hacker attack on Ukraine’s public television archives.
