A court in Moscow ordered Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, a United States government funded news organization, to pay 800 000 rubles of fines due to its refusal to remove “forbidden” material linked to the war in Ukraine. Interfax reported that a couple days earlier, that the court began investigating 60 administrative offenses allegedly committed by Radio Liberty. The news outlet refused to remove material concerning the number of killed civilians and Russian soldiers. Radio Liberty has been blocked in Russia since March 4 and its staff have relocated outside of Russia, meaning they cannot face prosecution.
