On January 7, the police in Somalia, executing an eviction order from the Banadir Regional Court chairman, threatened to physically assault  two journalists, Abdihafid Nor Barre and Abdukadi Abukar Ali of RTN TV, based in Mogadishu’s Waberi district. The television crew was covering the eviction incident, and conducting interviews with family members residing in the affected property. Out of fear for their safety, the journalists fled after a police officer pointed a gun at them while one of them was recording.
