Pig’s head left at the door of Echo Moskvy editor-in-chief

Editor-in-chief of the shuttered Russian radio station Echo Moskvy, Aleksei Venediktov, found a severed pig’s head in front of his apartment door in Moscow. The assailants also put a sticker on his door with Ukrainian trident symbol and the word Judensau (Jewish pig). The pig head was in a wig resembling Venediktov’s hairstyle. Images were share on social media and the antisemitic act of intimidation was widely condemned. Echo Moskvy was taken of air on March 1 amid a crackdown of independent media in Russia.
