Local authorities suspend a media outlet over publication of survey findings

On September 12, 2023, the governor of the South West Region in Cameroon suspended the activities of the media outlet, Post Newspaper. This followed a preview of an upcoming article entitled ‘’ 66% of Cameroonians want a military coup’’. However, the article was not published under the initial title. According to the media regulatory authorities, the media outlet violated the professional norms of the domain of Mass Communication in the country.
