Russian media regulator Roskomnadzor blocked the websites of two regional Russian publications – People of Baikal and Krasnoyarsk Tim. The blocking was carried out on the order of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and was justified on the media outlets’ alleged dissemination of “inaccurate information”. It was not clear what texts or articles by the tow media that the bans referred to. The editors of the publication “People of Baikal” commented: “We have always worked without censorship and are going to continue to do so. We did not write about the war because we are far away and cannot verify the information. But we have written and will continue to write about how people in the regions are experiencing the war.”
