Journalist stabbed while filming police raid

On January 5, Boniface Bogita, a photographer of Nation Media was stabbed twice in the ribs by workers of the Kettle House Bar and Grill in Nairobi when he was recording a law enforcement raid on the premises. As a result of the attack, he sustained injuries, and was admitted to the hospital for medical care. The incident occurred when security forces of the National Authorities for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) raided the premises of the recreational facilities to enforce a ban. The assailants were later arrested, charged, and released on bail.
