Investigative outlet Newshawk stops corruption story for fear of reprisal; says reporter under surveillance

Following the publication of an investigative report on a housing corruption scandal involving three generals of the Zimbabwe Defence Force (ZDF) and an amount of 200,000 euros, the online news outlet The Newshawk had to cease the publication of their follow-up story due to fears of reprisal and to safeguard its reporters. The outlet reported that one of its journalists, editor Owen Gagare, was under surveillance due to the investigation.
