On 21 September 2025, the blog of Ukrainska Pravda contributor Yana Matviychuk was hacked, and a fake post was published under her name. Matviychuk, an entrepreneur and a public figure, reported the breach in her own blog on Ukrainska Pravda, after restoring access to it. The fake post published under her name claimed that she condemned recent Ukrainian military strikes in Crimea, alleging that civilians were targeted in the Crimean town of Foros, which is occupied by Russia. Matviychuk said she believed that the hack aimed to erode public support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The entrepreneur added that the fake blog post was entirely fabricated and intended to both discredit the military and damage her reputation. She said that the fake post was removed within 30 minutes, but that in that time it had already been re-published by pro-government Russian media outlets such as RIA, URA, RG, and Rambler. Matviychuk claimed, without providing specific evidence, that the event as a premeditated operation by Russian security services.
