IPI’s annual World Congress is our global media freedom gathering. This year, the IPI National Committee in Nigeria welcomed nearly 350 editors, publishers and journalists to the 2018 IPI World Congress in Abuja, Nigeria from June 21 to 23, 2018. Under the theme “Why Good Journalism Matters“, the 2018 World Congress affirmed the indispensable role of quality media in building strong societies and  showcased how investigative stories and projects can bring positive change to individuals and communities in Africa and around the world.
