Hindia Haji Mohamed was killed in Mogadishu on Dec. 3, 2015 by a bomb placed under the seat of her car and detonated by remote control. Mohamed was brought to a nearby hospital but died of her injuries shortly afterward. She had worked as a journalist and producer for state-run outlets Somali National TV and Radio Mogadishu. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Mohamed’s husband, also a journalist and former head of news at Somali National TV, was killed in a suicide bomb attack in 2012.
