Francisco Pacheco Beltran, a journalist contributing to several newspapers including daily Sol de Acapulco and weekly Foro de Taxco, and broadcasting for a radio station Capital Máxima, was shot and killed when returning home in the city of Taxco in Guerrero state on April 25, 2016. The motive for the killing remains unclear.
