On 16 June 2022, new emails with threats were sent to 061.ua and inform.zp.ua, two online media in Zaporizhia, a major city under Ukrainian control close to the frontline in the South-East of the country. As in previous cases, the emails were sent from email addresses registered in Russia. The anonymous authors of the email denounced  061.ua journalists for having reported previous threats against them to the police, claiming they would “respond for crimes against humanity and [will] receive a deserved punishment.” Inform.zp.ua received an email with nearly indentical content.

061.ua received messages with threats of imprisonment and persecution by Russian forces at least fourteen times since March. The latest case prior to the most recent one was on June 10.
