The governor of Venezuela’s Falcón state, Víctor Clark, threatened the La Mañana newspaper with legal action and accused the paper’s journalists of being terrorists. He also said that the media encouraged the violating of quarantine. “If the Diario La Mañana wants to act like a political agent to discount the legitimate measures by the government to prevent the pandemic, let them see the consequences,” Clark said in a regional radio broadcast.
