Ukrainian Witness reporting crew come under fire in Avdiivka

Journalist Oleksiy Prodayvoda and camera operator Oleksandr Davydenko from media outlet Ukrainian Witness came under fire while reporting from the city of city of Avdiivka in Donetsk. No one was injured during the attack, which according to reports came from Russia forces. The team were with a Ukrainian military escort at the time of the attack and were documenting a recent shelling attack on a village. According to reports, a solider accompanying the group heard the sound of a drone overhead. The targeted fire began shortly after that. Explosions occurred close by to their position. Prodayvoda pulled out a fragment from his bulletproof vest. The team were wearing PRESS vests at the time as were clearly identifiable as member of the media. The journalists later said they believe that the fire was aimed at them.
