TV and radio channels in the occupied city of Dniprorudne in Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine were deliberately jammed by Russian armed forces, undermining the ability of local news outlets to broadcast. Instead, eight Russian TV channels and three radio stations started to broadcast in the area in their place. Among them was Mayak radio – one of the key channels for spreading Kremlin propaganda. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration in Dniprorudne, the Russian forces installed a digital transmitter for TV and radio signals.
