Correspondent Artem Jepko and cameraman Yurii Kovalenko from the TV channel Ukraina came under fire while in Luch village, Mykolaiv region, according to reports. The journalists were accompanied at the time by a Ukrainian soldier. All three were left uninjured as they were able to find a bomb shelter early on in the attack. The Ukraina journalists were touring the region and reporting on the lives of civilians living under daily shelling. Jepko stated that they came under fire twice while in Luch, claiming that he does not believe they were intentionally targeted as Luch and other nearby villages are shelled on a daily basis by Russian forces. The journalists planned to visit the frontline but were forced to abandon their plans due to the heavy shelling in the region.
