Censorship and regulation: Publication ban, take-down order or forced deletion, fine, administrative action
The Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) suspended the Mwananchi newspaper’s online content delivery license for six months and ordered the publication to pay a fine of TZS 5 million. The newspaper was punished for posting a video showing President John Magufuli in a crowded fish market after ordering social distancing.
