Restrictions on access to information: FOI rules suspended / deadlines extended
During its state of emergency during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Slovenia suspended entirely the deadlines that public bodies had to respond to journalist’s Freedom of Information requests. Many journalists have complained that requests for information from public institutions from critical and independent media are being ignored.
