On January 22, journalists Nimca Mohudiin Ardofe and Farah Mohamed Aden of Somali Cable TV were barred from accessing a parliament session. The two journalists were prevented from reporting on the Somali Federal Parliament in Mogadishu. According to the Somali Journalists Syndicate, the denial of access to the journalist to cover the parliament sitting could be linked to the incident of a video aired on January 20, showing a Member of Parliament spraying water on parliament officials during the opening of the session.
