“Russian journalist investigated under new “fake news” law over COVID-19 interview “

Russian authorities opened a pre-investigation check under the newly ammended article 207.1 of the criminal code on “fake news” on Tatyana Voltskaya, a St. Petersburg-based journalist, over an article she published which interviewed a medical worker about the possible shortage of ventilation machines. Her journalistic materials were also confiscated.
