Online media Spectr blocked by Rozkomnadzor

Russian communications regulator Rozkomnadzor blocked the website of Russian online media oulet Spektr on the order of the country’s state prosecutor. Spektr reported on its website that it was blocked due to one of their publications, but that they are unaware which one. The blocking decision was made on March 28. Spektr did not receive any notification of the measures or a justification. Spektr editorial team announced it would continue to cover Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and use banned terminology about the war. The news outlet also give readers advice on how to access their site via VPN.
