Two journalists with the tabloid Fakt, the most read newspaper in Poland, were refused accreditation to travel on the presidential plane during a state visit by President Andrzej Duda to Italy due to a lack of space caused by COVID-19 restrictions, in apparent retaliation for critical coverage. Media accused the office of the president of using the COVID-19 rules to side-line critical media.
