Mexican journalists falsely accused by bar owner after reporting on pandemic-related hours of operation violations

Two journalists were falsely accused by a local bar owner in Cozumel, Mexico, of kidnapping, apparently in retaliation for the journalists’ collecting of information on the bar owner’s violation of pandemic-related hours of operation violations. The journalists were summoned by police by later released after it was determined the allegations were false.
