Journalist barred from Russian Foreign Ministry events over anti-war letter

Elena Chernenko, a journalist with Kommersant, was expelled from the pool of journalists of the Russian Foreign Ministry after she organised an open letter signed by hundreds of journalists protesting the war. She later who on Telegram that she was told the accreditation had been withdrawn because of “unprofessionalism”. It meant she was barred from attending events organised by the Foreign Ministry or Sergei Lavrov.
