On 2 May 2025, investigative outlet Slidstvo.Info reported that Facebook had deleted a recent post by the outlet, which was related to Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine. Access was also temporarily restricted to the outlet’s Facebook page. According to Slidstvo.Info, the post was deleted due to the fact that it contained a quote of a Ukrainian soldier currently dispatched in Kherson region, in which the military officer said that Russians have “no honour or dignity” due to their ongoing occupation of Ukrainian territories. The media outlet reported that it had received a notification from Facebook, in which the corporation claimed that the post contained hate speech, and that it was an “attack on people based on their identity”. While Slidstvo.Info’s page was later restored, the post itself remains unavailable as of June 16.
