Detektor Media targeted in DDoS attack

On 22 April 2022, Kyiv-based NGO Detektor Media, which reports on media freedom violations in Ukraine, was targeted in a DDoS attack. As a result, Detektor Media’s site went offline for an unknown amount of time. A Russia-based group named “NoName057(16)” claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that Detektor Media were “enemies of Russia” who “discredit the army of Russia and distributes fake [news]”.
