On 27 November 2022, a DDoS attack was carried out against the website of Detektor Media, a Ukrainian online news outlet focused on media-related events.
According to a Detektor media representative, a pro-Russian cyber warfare Telegram channel published a post the day before, in which it told its subscribers that the website was a “new target”. A screenshot from the Telegram channel seemed to confirm this.
Access to Detektor Media’s website was disrupted due to the attack, but activity was brought back to normal levels within 12 hours, with help from the outlet’s service provider.
