A court in Moscow arrested journalist Aleksandra Bayazitova for two months on charges of extortion. Bayazitova believes that the charges are related to the comments she made about the government-owned bank Promsvyazbank on her Telegram channel. She stated that Russia’s poor performance in the war in Ukraine could be attributed to the vast amounts of money that were being funneled from Promsvyazbank instead of being directed to the defence budget.
