SEEMO presents 2013 Human Rights Award

Hurriyet.com.tr editor Bülent Mumay receives award in Istanbul ceremony

The South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO), an affiliate of the International Press Institute (IPI), yesterday presented Bülent Mumay, editor-in-chief of Hurriyet.com.tr with the 2013 SEEMO Human Rights Award.

Oliver Vujovic, SEEMO’s secretary general, gave the award to Mumay at a ceremony at Hürriyet’s headquarters in Istanbul.

SEEMO recognised Mumay for his human rights-oriented editorial approach and his dedication to the rights of Turkish citizens.
