José Libardo Montenegro, member of the community station Samaniego Estéreo, was killed by unidentified gunmen in the municipality of Samaniego (Nariño) on June 11. The murder took place at night and the assailants were riding a motorbike. Police said that investigations are underway to ascertain the reason for the murder and to apprehend the attackers.
