The 5th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Forum will be held in Vienna, Austria, on Feb 27-28. Two sessions on Wednesday afternoon will discuss how freedom of the media, media pluralism and diversity of media content contribute to fostering public debate, democracy and awareness of diverse opinions. IPI Executive Director Alison Bethel McKenzie will serve as rapporteur for the media break-out sessions of the UNAOC meeting. IPI Executive Board Chair, Galina Sidorova, will speak on “Freedom of the Media Matters” on Wednesday afternoon.
