On 1 April 2022, news website 0462.ua from Chernihiv, a region of Ukraine partially occupied by Russia until recent days, said it was the target of a DDoS attack in the early morning hours. On its Facebook page, 0462.ua said it was temporarily turning off the possibility to access the site from abroad in an attempt to protect itself from the attack. Media in Ukraine are regularly targeted in cyber attacks since the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion on 24 February.
