On September 18, Anna Majavu, who works for news outlet Grocotts Mail, was harassed, intimidated, and physically assaulted by unknown individuals while reporting at a local Magistrates Court, in Makhanda, in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The incident was condemned by both the advisory board of the media group and SANEF, the national press defense group.
