On 7 April 2026, TV channel Pryluky crew’s equipment was destroyed in a Russian attack on Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast which damaged the city council building. Journalists who were in the building during the attack were evacuated to a shelter uninjured.

According to Iryna Pavlyutina, director of the channel, the journalists were inside the building on an assignment. The crew was filming a meeting of the town’s executive committee and was later supposed to report on a round table. For this reason, they had brought two sets of video equipment, both of which were destroyed in the attack.

“We were at the epicenter of the events right in the city council. At the moment the alarm sounded there was the first explosion, in another building. We all immediately went down to the shelter. The most we could do was save people,” Pavlyutina told Ukraine’s Institute of Mass Information (IMI).
