The Belarusian edition of independent online media The Village was blocked in Russia by Roskomnadzor, the state media and communications regulator. The Belarusian edition of The Village received a demand to delete content related to the Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk train station in Ukraine on 8 April 2022, which killed 59 civilians and wounded more than 110. The letter said the site would be blocked if the content was not removed within 24 hours. The editorial team of The Village refused and the blocking was carried out. The Russian edition of The Village has been blocked in Russia since the early March.
