On June 21, a court in St. Petersburg declared materials by the Russian service of French outlet RFI and the Belarussian outlet “Belorusy i Rynok” as forbidden information. The bans were brought against the two outlets at the request of a deputy military prosecutor for publishing information about Russian military losses in Ukraine. The prosecutor claimed that the outlets had disseminated “information revealing the losses of personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the special operation, the names, personal data of the victims, as well as their personal data.”
