Censorship and regulation: Publication ban, take-down order or forced deletion, fine, administrative action
Boryadina had initially been granted permission to do her final exams online. However, the permission was cancelled an hour before she was scheduled to sit the exam. Before leaving Russia, the apartment of Boryadina and her boyfriend, journalist Aleksandr Peskov, was searched and their equipment was confiscated. Peskov was criminally charged with offending a government official, because he had been angry at one of the people in civilian clothes who came to the apartment. The individual turned out to be a specialist for the Ministry of Interior.
