SOTA journalist under criminal investigation for “fakes” about Russian military

Gleb Yakutov, a journalist for independent news outlet SOTA, was arrested by police in the university dorm where he lives in Moscow. The journalist was arrested and held overnight in a local police department on charges of minor hooliganism. His apartment was searched alongside the apartment of two activists. According to reports, the journalist was placed under criminal investigation by the Investigative Committee for spreading “fake” information about the Russian armed forces and their actions in Ukraine. IPI could not immediately establish if the allegations were linked to his journalistic work.
