On February 23, 2024, soldiers in Delta State arrested and assaulted Dele Fasan of Galaxy Television. Fasan was detained while filming a halted labour protest. The assault on Fasan occurred in front of a police squad led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Operations, Aina Adesola. His release came after the police chief and his team appealed to Army Commander Major A.E Ohegbe, who ordered Fasan’s release.
