Censorship and regulation: Publication ban, take-down order or forced deletion, fine, administrative action
Independent Latvia-based Russian media outlet Meduza reported on Friday April 18 that links to its website were not appearing in the search engine Yandex for Russian internet users. Meduza’s website was not the only platform removed from search results. The links to the websites of Mediazones, Current Time, Cold, Pskov Province were also removed. Meduza asked for a comment from media regulator Rozkomnadzor, which confirmed that the links were removed because the sites were blocked are blocked in Russia.
