Novosti Berdyansk, a radio station in south-eastern Ukraine, was occupied by Russian forces. The troops then used the station to broadcast messages to residents about the occupation to, in their words, “clarify the picture of events.” The audio message was recorded and sent to Ukrainian media. The audio clips presented the Russia military and government’s justification for invading Ukraine, echoing Kremlin disinformation about “de-nazification”.
