On 11 August 2026, the studio of Zaporizhia-based Radio Na Dotyk was damaged in a combined Russian strike on the city, according to the Institute of Mass Information.
Chief editor Olha Vakalo told IMI that the station’s panoramic windows suffered the most damage and were blown out by the blast. Soundproofing curtains installed over the windows intercepted some of the glass shards, but fragments still scattered across the studio.
The wall between the guest room and the studio was also damaged, and part of the door between the two rooms was dislodged by the shock wave. Another room on the third floor, where the team stored equipment boxes and other supplies, was also damaged: its windows and door were blown out, and the room was littered with debris.
The team was assessing the condition of its equipment, which had no visible external damage but was covered in dust and glass shards. No members of the outlet’s team were injured. “What matters is that everyone’s alive,” Vakalo said.
