Russia’s communications and internet regulator Roskomnadzor ordered Russian media to only “use only information and data from official Russian sources” when reporting about the invasion of Ukraine. Failure to do so and spreading false information will lead to blocking of the media. The regulator said that failure to comply could result in websites being blocked within Russia, and in a fine of up to 5 million rubles.
