Verbal, online or physical attack: Attack on media infrastructure/offices
On 17 October 2026, the building housing the regional branch of Ukraine’s public broadcaster Suspilne Zaporizhia was damaged during a massive Russian ballistic missile attack on the city of Zaporizhia, according to Suspilne and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
The blast wave blew out windows and doors in the broadcaster’s premises. No employees were present in the building at the time of the attack, and no media workers were injured.
At the time of reporting, the broadcaster was still assessing the extent of the damage to its premises.
