Verbal, online or physical attack: Physical attack by state armed forces/military
On 24 September 2026, a Russian drone targeted a car used by foreign journalists on a reporting trip in Sloviansk, Donetsk region. According to Volodymyr Kurinnyi, the Ukrainian producer of the media team, the journalists were inside a building at the time of the strike, and were not harmed. However, the equipment in their car was destroyed. This included cameras, laptops and protective equipment. Kurinnyi only named one of the affected media workers, Spanish photojournalist Diego Herrera.
