On 6 March 2026, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on a television tower in Kryvyi Rih, disrupting digital broadcasting in the city, according to reporting by Ukrainian media, who quoted local officials in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The attack, carried out using threee Shahed-type drones, damaged critical broadcasting infrastructure and led to the suspension of digital terrestrial television services in the city. Ukrainian officials reported that following the strike, a decision was made to cut power at the TV tower for security reasons, as it was not immediately clear to what extent technical equipment on site was destroyed. This further prevented the TV tower from operating

According to local authorities, the attack targeted civilian infrastructure and affected access to information for residents. Emergency services and technical teams were deployed to assess the damage and begin restoration works.

Broadcasting was resumed on 12 March 2026 after electricity supply was restored and technical operations were re-established.
