On 24 September 2026, Ukrainian news website Gazeta.ua reported that it had temporarily stopped working after a data centre hosting the outlet’s servers was damaged during a massive Russian drone attack on Kyiv.
The outlet said the outage was not an ordinary technical failure, but the result of a Russian strike on infrastructure in the capital.
Gazeta.ua said its team was already working to restore the website and bring it back online as soon as possible.
While the website was unavailable, the newsroom said it would continue working and publishing updates through its social media channels. “Russia can damage servers. But it cannot stop our work,” the outlet said in a post on Facebook.
